Shirley Tindall, 75, of Amarillo died Wednesday, June 8, 2011.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Amarillo Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Jeremiah Cunningham and Elder B.A. Tindall officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Shirley was born and raised in Springhill, Miss., and graduated from Springhill High School. She was as a homemaker for more than 60 years.

Shirley married Robert "R.A." Tindall in Eupora, Miss., on Aug. 21, 1952. She was a member of Amarillo Primitive Baptist Church.

Shirley enjoyed spending time with family, being in church, working in the yard and playing the piano. She also liked writing, sewing, painting, quilting and cooking.

Shirley especially liked being a homemaker and a caretaker and having company over to host. She was always known for teaching piano and publishing "The Man With The Brown Face." She also traveled the country visiting churches and spreading the gospel with her husband.

Shirley loved being a parent, grandparent, great-grandparent, friend and church member, and she will be greatly missed.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "R.A." Tindall; her twin children, David and Elizabeth; a grandson, Shalako Tindall; and her parents.

Shirley is survived by a son, Elder Ben Tindall and wife Nita of Pinson, Ala.; daughters, Rebeccah Cunningham and husband John of Amarillo and Reatha Angela Morris of North Carolina; grandsons, Elijah Tindall of Pinson, Ala., Jeremiah Cunningham and wife Karla of Amarillo, Joshua Cunningham and wife Tracy of Amarillo and Adam Morris of North Carolina; a sister, Sarah Hitt and husband Billy of Nashville, Tenn.; and great-grandchildren, Kassidy, Kayla, Jacob, Jude and Joah.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
