Cornelius (Flip) Johnson, well known in this area, died Saturday evening at his home, 153 Sullivan Street, Elmira, following a long illness. He was 53 years of age.
Surviving are his wife, Bertha; two daughters, Mrs. Marion Mastrantonio of Horseheads, N. Y., and Susy Wilcox of Elmira; three sons, Harold, Louis, and Irvin, of Elmira; his mother, Mrs. Ruey Johnson, of Towanda; a sister, Miss Hattie Johnson, of Elmira; two brothers, Stephen, of Waverly and Paul, of Santa Monica, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The body is at the Keister Funeral Home, 1138 Broadway, Elmira, and will be taken to the family home, 153 Sullivan Street, Elmira, today. Wednesday morning it will be returned to the Keister Funeral Home for services at 2 o'clock. Rev. Bror Olsen will officiate and interment will be in Bradford County Memorial Park.
