Services for Madeline Gilley, 90, of Temple will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Ridge Adams and the Rev. Roy Parker officiating.

Burial will follow in Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple.

Mrs. Gilley died Thursday, June 9, in a Temple nursing home.

She was born on Feb. 13, 1921, to Ben F. and Susan Chapman in Austin. She attended Temple Junior College and graduated in 1942 from Mary Hardin-Baylor. On June 14, 1942, she married John A. Gilley Jr. in Temple. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church for more than 60 years. She was a volunteer at King's Daughters Hospital and a member of Good Sam's RV Club. She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 11, 1999.

Survivors include a son, Richard J. Gilley of Collinsville, Okla.; a daughter, Sandra Aikins of Plano; three stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Memorial Baptist Church, 6161 S. Fifth St., Temple, TX 76502.

Visitation will be 7-8 p.m. Monday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple.
