Margaret Gregg, 91, of St. Ignace, died Saturday, September 27, 2008, at Northern Michigan Regional Hospital in Petoskey.

Mrs. Gregg was born July 10, 1917, in Jackson to Elza and May (Kivell) Conley. She graduated from high school and married Robert Gregg July 7, 1936, in Angola, Indiana, and he survives.

The couple resided in Homer until 1978, when they moved to St. Ignace. They owned a laundromat in Homer for several years, and she was the bookkeeper for her husband’s construction business. She was a member of the Mackinac Straits Hospital Auxiliary and helped with Touch of Craft in St. Ignace.

In addition to her husband, survivors include a daughter, Beverly (Jack) Swope of St. Ignace; a grandson, David (Lisa) Swope of St. Ignace; and two great-grandchildren, Corey and Chelsea.

Mrs. Gregg was preceded in death by a son, David in 1991; two brothers, Arthur and Stanley; and two sisters, Leola and Clara.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 29, at Dodson Funeral Home in St. Ignace, with the Rev. James Balfour officiating. Visitation was held at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home in Albion, and a graveside service was held Tuesday, September 30, at Fairview Cemetery in Homer.
