Lulu Norley, 105, of Clearbrook, died June 21, 1998, at the Good Samaritan Center in Clearbrook.
She was born August 7, 1892, at Willmar, Minnesota, the daughter of Herman and Emma (Rotzien) Nass. She married Pete Norley on October 21, 1916, at Clearwater County. They lived and farmed in Minerva. She drove school bus with a team of mules in 1948. They then moved into Bagley where she worked in the Bagley Hospital doing laundry. Pete died in August of 1949. She enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins. The last game she was able to attend was when she was101 years old. She moved to the Good Samaritan Center in 1984 where she had lived for the last 14 years.
Survivors include one brother, Harold Nass of Clearbrook; sister, Mable Fultz of Bagley; a special niece whom she raised, Devonna Byers of Clearbrook; a good friend, Steven Schmit; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Ervin; two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, June 24, at 2 p.m. at the Good Samaritan Center Chapel in Clearbrook with Pastor Larry Dorman officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the services at the chapel. Lunch will b served immediately after the service. Interment will be at the Rice Cemetery in rural Bagley at 4:15 p.m.
