State supreme court Justice Albert C Hunt, 68 died Sunday afternoon in Wesley Hospital following his second stroke in six days.

He was born in Clarksville AR and attended public schools in Wagoner. He was a student at Missouri Military Academy and received his bachelor of law degree from Vanderbilt University, Nashville TN.

At the time of his appointment to the Supreme Court post, Judge Hunt was in his 15th year as district judge for Oklahoma County. He had previously served a 6 year term on the state supreme court from 1925 to 1931.

An active worker of St Luke's Methodist Church, the judge was on the board of stewards since 1925, and was chairman twice. He also had been the chairman of the OKC district board of missions and church extension since 1929 and vice chairman of the west Oklahoma conference board of missions since 1944.

For 35 years, Judge Hunt was active in Kiwanis and was a charter member of the Tulsa Club where he served as president in 1931 and was past president and director of the Oklahoma Club. He also was chairman of the Dad's Association at the Univ of Oklahoma in 1942.

Survivors include his wife, of the home, 439 NW 18; two sons, John W Hunt, of the home, who is in the insurance business; and Albert C Hunt Jr of Sherman Oaks CA; a daughter, Mrs Dick Lowry Jr, 205 NW 33; mother, Mrs Mattie Hunt of Tulsa; two sisters, Mrs Hal Townsend of Los Angeles and Mrs Edward Schneider of Kalamazoo MI; and four brothers, Cecil and Russell Hunt of Tulsa; William T Hunt of Detroit MI; and J C Hunt of Paris, France.
