Rosie loved to garden, and her yard was filled with every flower she could get, according to her grand-daugher, Nellie Warren Jones. She was very particular with her housework and laundry, and even when she was an older woman and didn't need the extra income, she agreed to launder the shirts of the local businessmen and bankers, as they all loved the way she did their shirts and she just wanted something to keep her busy. She took pride in a job well done.
