Red Mud Cemetery in Dickens Co. used to be called Red Top.

As reported by B. Hodges in 2011, there were about 40-50 headstones in Red Mud Cemetery of the same color, size and shape with names only, probably made by the cemetery association in an effort to mark unmarked burials using information then available. Some of the records may have been hard to read, resulting in the misspelling. There are no indexed Texas death records under the name "Dagman."

The grave marker with full name and dates was new sometime between 2011 and 2020.
