Committal Rights Held For Abraham Zophy, 98
Committal service for the late Abraham Zophy, 98 years old, of Oneida, was held April 23 in Lyons Rural Cemetery with Reverend Herbert O. Erbele, pastor of Evangelical U. B. Church officiating. Mr. Zophy died January 30.
The deceased leaves four sons, William , Sherrill; August, Niagara Falls; Andrew and Albert, both of Oneida; four daughters, Miss Elizabeth Zophy and Mrs. Pauline Sellar both of Oneida, Mrs. Walter Huckle, Syracuse and Mrs. Christopher
Englert, Cleveland, Ohio. He married Barbara Hunger who died in 1929.
Emigrated to US in 1882, husb of Barbara, also from Switzerland, father of 11 children. In 1900-10 family was living in Lyons, Wayne, NY. 1920-1930 Family was in Oneida, Madison, NY
