Margean Sinclair, 74, passed away peacefully June 6, 2011, at home. She was born February 15, 1937, the third child to Clifford and Melba Lewis in Salt Lake City. Margean was very close to her siblings and their families. She attended East High School. She was married to Ted Lazenby and they raised four children. She later spent a number of fruitful years as a sales person in the Trucking Industry where she had many friends and customers. Margean had a few nick names that fit her perfectly depending upon the task at hand. When she had a fishing pole in her hand and a line in the water, she was called Goldie. It always seemed she caught the first and the most fish, whether she was in Alaska or the local fishing pond. She was a master, whether she had a spatula or the fishing pole in her hands and the happiest when she had a baby in her arms. If you were lucky you got on her recipient list for Christmas Rum Cake. When Margean was the chef, we had family and friends come out of the woodwork to join in. With this she received the nick name of Marvelous. Everything or anything that she prepared for consumption was indeed marvelous. Most recently, she spent the last 15 + years with the Delta/Energy Solutions Arena, as a supervisor. The Utah Jazz did not have a more faithful, loyal and dedicated fan than Margean. She also worked as a supervisor at the local baseball games and the Bonneville Race Way. She especially enjoyed being a grand mother and great grandmother. She had a tremendous work ethic and great determination. The many who knew her and loved her are comforted by the knowledge that she is at peace and in a far better place. Margean is survived by her children: Ruhama Pemperton, Shelly Lazenby, and Kelly Lazenby Willett; grandchildren: Zackery, Corey, Quan, D.J., Elisa; great grandchildren Noah and Alan; siblings: Alden D Lewis, OR, Sharrel D Lewis, AZ and Jo Juliano, UT. and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents and son, Larry Lazenby. There will be a celebration of Margean's life Tuesday, June 14, 2011, 6:00 p.m. at the Energy Solutions Arena, 6th floor. Enter through the main door. Whether you knew her as Goldie, Marvelous, or Margean, please join the family for this send off. Flowers are being accepted at the main office of the Energy Solutions Arena, and parking is available North East of the Arena.
