Priegnitz, Audrey Jane 84, of Aurora passed away Saturday, June 11, 2011 at her home. She was born October 2, 1926 in Lisle, Illinois. Audrey was employed at Barber-Greene for 18 years. She had lived in Aurora since 1959, and in the Elgin area previously. She was a member of the St. John United Church of Christ in Naperville. Audrey was a kind, quiet and compassionate person to everyone she met, including every stray animal that was lucky enough to find their way to her door. She will be missed by her loving families, and by her most recent adoption, Hershey the poodle. Survivors include her sister, Donna Wolf of Naples, FL; numerous nieces and nephews; and her very special friend, Luanne Leesley of Aurora. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Elsie (Steininger) Priegnitz; her brother, George Priegnitz; her sister, Eleanor Howell; her sister-in-law, Marion Priegnitz; and two nephews, David Priegnitz and Thomas Wolf. There will be no visitation. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 1:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake St., Aurora. Rev. Matthew Mimlitz will officiate.
