Rites Held for Naomi Hershey
Last rites were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, at the EUB church for Naomi Hershey, who passed away July 22 at her home after a lingering illness. Born December 3, 1898, daughter of Thomas and Alma Gough, she lived all her life in the Bristow vicinity.
She was united in marrieage to Clayton Hershey on July 7, 1917. They farmed for many years but since moving into Bristow, Mrs. Hershey has been employed by the West Point Mutual Telephone Company for a number of years. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and had long been an active member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church.
Survivors include her husband, Clayton; two sons, Rev. Galen Hershey of Pontiac, Michigan and Gerald Hershey of Hazelton; two daughters, Ardath Hershey, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Mrs. Carma Todd, of Leadville, Colorado; two sisters, Mrs. Ether Sellers, of Greene and Mrs. Marian Tracy of La Mirada, California; two brothers, Everett Gough of Kenewick, Washington and Glenn Gough, of Pasadena, California; twelve grandchildren and numberous other relatives and friends.
