Obituary (Hannibal (MO) Courier-Post, May 9, 1932)- John Mallory died at 11 o'clock this morning at his home, 221 South Tenth street, at the age of 56 years. He had been confined to his bed since Nov. 15. Mr. Mallory, son of the late David and Loretta Mallory, was born March 2, 1876, at Woodlawn, Mo., in Monroe county, and lived there until the time he moved to Hannibal, four years ago. He was a regular attendant of the Oak Grove Baptist church. Surviving are his wife, Pearl Mallory; two daughters, Letha and Thelma Mallory, of Hannibal; one brother, Sidney Sanders of Shelbina; two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Legrand of Woodlawn and Mrs. C. E. Potter, of Wallowa, Oregon. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

Death notice (Moberly (MO) Monitor-Index, May 9, 1932)- Madison, Mo., May 9- The body of John Mallory, former Monroe County farmer who lived near Madison, will be brought here today from Hannibal, according to word received here. No details of Mr. Mallory's death have yet been learned here.
