RITES HELD FOR J. BARTHOLMY
Funeral services for John Bartholmy, 73, were conducted from the Sacred Heart Catholic church, Scranton, at 10 a. m. Monday, September 24, with Rev. Fr. Bolton officiating.
Pall bearers were Pat Whalen, Frank Fisher, Leonard Steiner, J. C. Svestka, Ed Husnick, and Charley Sipma.
Mr. Bartholmy passed away at Holy Rosary hospital, Miles City, Mont., at 12:45 a. m. Thursday, September 20. He had been in poor health for the past few years.
The son of Peter and Annie Bartholmy, John was born December 25, 1877 at Oak Dale, Minnesota where he grew to manhood.
He was married to Mary Bartelmy at Miesville Minnesota March 7, 1905. Following their marriage they moved to Stillwater, Minnesota, where they resided until 1910 when they moved to their farm north of Scranton.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife Mary, three children, Francis at home, Leona, Mrs. Emil Rath, Reeder; Agnes, Mrs. Stewart Wanek, Reeder; Four grandchildren, Vernon and Norma Rath, Clinton and Alan Wanek; besides several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Relatives from Minnesota who attended the services were Mrs. J. W. Therrien and son, Melvin, and B. J. Bartelmy.
