Jack Renes Gay, 64, of Moultrie, died Thursday, June 9, 2011, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 12, at Baker Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Greg Roberts and the Rev. Dain Croft officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Phillip Brinson, Blake Gay, Brandon Gay, Kendall Sloan, Carson Asbell, Ryan Long and Gene Holton will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Gay was born April 7, 1947, in Moultrie to the late Butler Gay and Clydie Mae Cannon Gay. He was owner of Gay's Transmission Service.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Judy Gordon Gay of Moultrie; son, Denny Gay and wife Mandy of North Carolina; daughters, Deana Asbell and husband Brett of Moultrie and Holly Croft and husband Dion of Norman Park; brother, Dan Gay and wife Dorothy of Moultrie; sisters, Carrie Rowan of Pavo and Sherrie Gaines and Katie Gay of Moultrie; grandchildren, Chelsey Sloan, Kendall Sloan, Hannah Croft, McKenzie Gay, Carson Asbell, Graycen Croft and Landen Croft; and great-grandchild, Brayden James Lewis.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Willie Gay; and a granddaughter, Shelah Faith Croft.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today, June 11, at the funeral home.
