El Reno Man Dies At Work
Walter Ray Windham, Rock Island transportation clerk of 517 South Miles, died unexpectedly Monday while at work. He had 41 years of service with the railroad.
Mr. Windham, born May 16, 1902, at Waldron, Ark., had lived in El Reno since 1915. He was a member of the Methodist church.
Survivors include his wife, Gwendolyn, of the home; two sons, Travis Windham of 717 South Miles, and Trent Windham, of the home; his mother, Mrs. Julia Crouch, of the home; a sister, Mrs. Marie Belitzer, Colorado Springs, Colo., a brother, Earl Windham, Altus, and four grandchildren, Leslie, Lorraine, Angela and Vincent Windham.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Wilson funeral home with the Rev. C. Reese Porter officiating. Burial was in the El Reno cemetery.
