Deborah was born on May 31, 1967, in Caldwell, Idaho to Mardell C. (Miller) and Donald L. Jones. She attended kindergarten at Nampa Christian Church and attended Nampa schools for the remainder, graduating from Nampa High in 1985.
After graduation from high school, Deborah took a trip in June of 1985 to Germany for five weeks as an exchange student. It was here that she connected with Petra, who became like a sister to her and they constantly kept in touch.
After returning from her trip to Germany, Deborah attended the University of Idaho, where she earned a bachelor's in Finance and a bachelor's in Accounting. She met Craig Colley her freshman year and they later married on May 16, 1992, in Nampa, at The Church of the Brethren.
They were married for 17 years. Their son, Nathan, was born Sept. 28, 2003. Watching Nathan play sports was a great delight to Deborah.
They all enjoyed gardening and camping together. Deborah was also known as an avid reader and seemed to always have a book in her hand.
Deborah worked at Tamura farms from 1991 to 1996, before joining the team at Idaho Housing Financial Association on April 29, 1996, where she would remain until the time of her death.
Deborah was preceded in death by her father, Donald L. Jones; her paternal grandparents; her maternal grandparents; special Uncle, James Miller; and several cousins.
