MOUNT HOLLY ? Ralph Stanley "Stan" Allman, 77, 307 Stroupe St., died Aug. 20, 2001, at Gaston Memorial Hospital, Gastonia.

He was a native of Andrews, son of the late Grady E. and Modine Kephart Allman, retired from Wearn Lumber Company, former heavy equipment operator, member of Grace Baptist Church, Army veteran of World War II, member of American Legion Post 152.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Helen Cherry Allman; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Vickie Allman, Stanley, Rendall and Angel Allman, Mount Holly; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Patrick Merritt, Belmont; brothers, Willard Allman, Mount Holly, Raymond Allman, Charlotte; sister, Geraldine Fadel, Charlotte; four grandchildren

FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Grace Baptist Church, Rev. Jerry Stanfield

BURIAL: Hillcrest Gardens

VISITATION: 7-9 tonight at the church
