Arliene Walk, 73, of Glenwood, Iowa, formerly of Kensett, entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 30, 2001, at the Jennie Edmundson Hospital, Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Funeral services were held on Friday, May 4, at the Bolan United Methodist Church, Bolan, with Rev. Robert Cumings officiating.
Arliene was born on March 5, 1928 in Plymouth, Iowa, the daughter of Lloyd and Esther Schmidt Borchardt. She married Paul Franklin Walk on September 28, 1952 in Bolan. Arliene was a homemaker and helped with the family farm.
She was an active member of the Bolan United Methodist Church and UMW. She moved to Glenwood, two years ago to be near her children due to health. She attended the First Baptist Church in Glenwood.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Those that survive her include her husband, Paul Walk of Kensett; children, Janiece and husband, Kreg Kinzle of Glenwood, Joyce and husband, Robert Simanton of Niles, Michigan, Judeen and husband, Craig Keiran of Des Moines, Jerry and wife, Tracy Walk of Council Bluffs, Debra and husband, Jim Teachout of Amarillo, Texas and Kevin and wife, Bonnie Walk of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Delwin Borchardt of Mitchell, Darryl Borchardt of Marion and Delbert Borchardt of Riceville; and a host of friends.
