Syble Merlene Harris, 78, of Corsicana, Texas, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2011. She was born May 24, 1932 in Paris, Texas to Wesley Smith and Clara Jetton Smith.
She is survived by her husband Clint Harris of Corsicana; children, Roger (Dugan) Smith and wife Pat of Waxahachie, James Weldon Smith and Diane of Dallas, Terry Don Smith and wife Pat of Midlothian, Tommy Harris and wife Laura of North Carolina and Teressa Turner and husband Roscoe of Rockett; 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brothers, Charles Ray Smith of Waxahachie and Jimmy Smith of Dallas; sisters, Bobby Robins of Irving, Louise Feazell of Euless and Janice Moreland of Plano and plenty to love... to many to count nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Clara Smith; brothers, Ralph Smith, Joe Smith, Billy Smith and Jack Smith; sisters, Orvil Hibben and Mae Caviness; sons, Tim Smith and Mark Smith and grandson, Tim Smith Jr.
Services will be 11:00am Wednesday, April 13th at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Neal officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery, Navarro.
Pallbearers will be Chad Smith of Dallas, James Smith of Dallas, Wess Smith of College Station, Steven Smith of Dallas, Rene' Barcenas of Kerens, Brent Hooper of Alabama and Casey Praytor of Cedar Creek.
