Mrs. Nannie Bell Acree, was born in Metcalfe County in 1870 and died at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24 [1966] at the home of a son, Lucian Acree of the Fry Community in Green County. She was 95 years old and a member of the Summer Shade Methodist Church. Surviving are three sons: Lucian, Perry and J. A. Acree, all of Green County; one daughter, Mrs. Elvira McMahan of Louisville, 30 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26 at the Cowherd-Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Coffee Cemetery. Rev. V. A. Jones officiated. Pallbearers were Robert Acree, Samp Acree, Dewey Acree, David Acree, William Acree and Frank Acree.
