Mr. Thomas Edmon Stroud, 73, of Madisonville, KY died at 1:26 P.M. Monday, February 6, 2006 at his home.
Born July 16, 1932 in McLean County, KY he was the son of the late Edmon Stroud and Helen Oakley Stroud. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Susan Laura Dean Stroud on August 17, 1987 and two brothers.
He was a retired steel worker and a member of the Bethany Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Madisonville American Legion Post#6 and was a Korean War Veteran.
He is survived by one daughter, Teresa Tudor of Springfield, IL; one son, Tony Stroud of Madisonville; three sisters, Loxie Miller of Rumsey, KY, Ona Mae Wiles of Franklin, KY and Helen Corbitt of Madisonville; two granddaughters, Shelbi and Morgan Tudor of Springfield, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post #6 and the V.F.W. Post #5480.
Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and on Thursday from 9:30 A.M. until the service at the funeral home.
