Janet, 52, of Petoskey, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, at her home. Janet was born Sep 12, 1949, in Petoskey, daughter of Louis & Ruth (Bathke) Kabelman. Janet graduated in Petoskey High School class of 1967 and was a member of the National Honor Society. She attended Concordia Lutheran Jr. College in Ann Arbor & Bay de Noc Community College in Escanaba. On Aug. 16, 1997, she married Douglas Huesing in Petoskey. She was employed with Northern Michigan Hospital, where she worked as a pediatric nurse. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church& served on the preschool board. She was a member of the Michigan Licensed Practical Nurses Association. She loved to travel & enjoyed needlework & flower gardening. She also played the piano & organ. She is survived by her husband, Douglas; her mother, Ruth Kabelman; brothers, Paul (Sue) & Gerald (Jane) Kabelman; sister, Mary Ann (Larry) Handwerk; brother-in-law, Hank (Dawn) Huesing. She was preceded in death by her father.
