George was a member of Northside Baptist Church and Panhandle Lodge No. 341, IOOF, and was a veteran of World War I. Services were held from Northside Baptist Church; burial in Crestview Memorial Park under direction of Owens-Brumley Funeral Home. His obituary was published in the Wichita Falls Times, Thurs., Mar. 23, 1967.
