ROY---Norma Rhea Middleton Brenchley, 90, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at Crestwood Care Center in Ogden.

She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah May 20, 1917 to Charles Arthur and Ruby May Watkins Middleton.

She attended Ogden City Schools and graduated from Ogden High in 1936. After graduating she worked for the Ogden Utah Knitting Company.

On September 11, 1936 she married Thomas Stoddard Brenchley. The were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on April 27, 1953. In 1941 they moved to Playa del Rey, California where they lived until 1946. They returned to Utah and became residents of Roy. Norma and Tom worked many years for Hillcrest Furniture Company, where they became very skilled at manufacturing furniture. They eventually opened Brenchleys Furniture store in Roy, where they worked until they retired.

Norma was the first PTA president of Valley View Elementary School. She served as past president of the Ben Lomond Chapter of ABWA and of the Apprender Guild. Norma was a charter member and vice-president of the Roy Historical Society.

Norma was a very creative and generous person. She loved to make and dress dolls, toy dogs and lambs. Norma also loved to crochet. She especially enjoyed sharing her creativity with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Norma is survived by her three daughters, two sons, one sister, 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 12 noon at the West Park Ward, 4524 S. 2525 W. Roy. Friends may call on Saturday at the church from 11 a.m. to 12:00 noon prior to services.

Interment Ogden City Cemetery.
