She was born on Jan. 24, 1947 in Champaign to Ira Gudgel Sr. and Virgie Brownfield Gudgel. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She married Aaron Ross Mitchaner on March 21, 1980 in Champaign. He survives. Also surviving are four children, Charles L. Ferrell (Margaret) of Rantoul, Madonna A. Natt (Marcus) of Danville, Tim Mitchaner (Christie) of Urbana and Kevin Mitchaner (Chris) of Mahomet; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Margie Stanton (Chuck) of Champaign and two brothers, Don Gudgel Sr. (Margaret) of Champaign and Ira Gudgel Jr. (Carol) of Paxton.
