The funeral of James Ray Holder will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Sulphur's Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. Holder, 63, died Wednesday at an Ada hospital following a brief illness.
He was born May 5,, 1908, in Oklahoma and came to Sulphur 10 years ago. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, where he worked as custodian.
Mr. Holder's survivors include his wife, Bess, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Anita Neal, Sulphur, and Mrs. Connie Key, Poteau, Oklahoma; three step-daughters, Mrs. Betty Flora, Fayetteville, Arkansas, Mrs. Lou Elkins, Sulphur, and Mrs. Dwe Sullivan, Fort Smith, Arkansas; a son don R. Holder, Eagle Mountain, Ca.; a stepson, Henry Hannah, Sulphur; a sister, Mrs. K. R. Bicknell, Oklahoma City; 14 grandchildren.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. Tom Ritzinger, assisted by the rev. Vic Morlan, and interment will be at the Oaklawn Cemetery. Arrangements are being made by the Bahner-Ozbirn Funeral Home.
