Betty Lou Call, 78, of Chiefland died Feb. 8, 2009 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville after a long term illness. She was born July 29, 1930 in Pikeville, Ky. to Earl and Orpha Chaney. She moved to the Chiefland are in 1982 from Kissimmee. She was a retired nurse. She was a long time member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She is survived by her children Teresa Sanders of Arkansas, Cynthia Raddatz of Utah, Joseph Call and Raymond Call Jr. of Chiefland, her siblings Rosalee Mitchell of Clearmont, Erlanna Lowry of Palm Bay, Nina J. Stump of Chiefland, Bobby Chaney of St. Cloud, Johnny Chaney of St. Cloud, Jerry Chaney of Kissimmee, James Chaney of St. Cloud; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond S. Call; parents; sister and two brothers. The funeral was held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Chiefland Feb. 11 with Bishop Owen Baynard officiating. Interment followed in Chiefland Cemetery. Arrangements were under the care of Knauff Funeral Home-Chiefland.
