He was a Naval Aviator for 21 years. Son of Raymond George Auvil & Patricia Marie Dorgan.

Auvil is survived by his wife of 29 years, Vera R. Auvil of Robstown; a daughter, Katie Rae Auvil-Stutts; a grandson, William Everrett Stutts, both of Oak Harbor, Wash.; his mother, Patricia Auvil of California; two brothers, Raymond Auvil of California and Dan Auvil of Washington; and a sister, Carol Ann Caylor of California.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, at Robstown Memorial Park.

Interment with full military honors will follow at Robstown Memorial Park.
