Widow of Peter Shoemaker
Rebecca, widow of Peter Shoemaker, deceased, lately a resident of Allentown, died at the home of her son Henry Delong, 133 Walnut street, this borough, on Friday morning last at 6 o'clock. The deceased was aged 65 years, 8 months and 17 days, and had her home with her son for the past four months. She had been a sufferer from dropsy since last July, and suffered very much during the past few months. Previous to four months ago she had resided in Allentown, where her husband died four years ago. Henry Delong is the only child living. Mrs. Shoemaker had been a devoted member of the Reformed church for twenty-five years. The funeral took place at 1:30 o'clock from the home of her son. Interment was made in Bowman cemetery. Rev. F. C. Hullhorst officiated.
