Mary M. Dalton, 83, Webb City, died at 4 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at the Webb City Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Feb. 4, 1928, in Spring Creek, Ky., to Henry and Ciller (Napier) Woods. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church of Webb City.

She married Lawrence H. Dalton Nov. 7, 1945, in Hyden, Kan. He died Aug. 27, 1985.

Survivors include five sons, Bob Dalton, Mt. Vernon, Bill Dalton, Carterville, Dave Dalton, Webb City, Lester Dalton, Carthage, and John Dalton, Webb City; two daughers, Betty Wingo, Neosho, and Linda Dalton, Joplin; one brother, George Woods; two sisters, Avis Sprarks and Bess Dey; 21 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Services were Friday, June 3, at the Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City with the Rev. Joey Morris officiating. Burial was in the Carterville Cemetery, under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home, Webb City.
