"Mrs. Elsie Simon, 70, a lifelong resident of Hankins, died Wednesday, January 25, 1967 in Roscoe Community Hospital.
Born in Hankins, September 30, 1896, she was the daughter of Charles and Charlotte Homer Bauer. She was married to Clarence Simon.
She was a member of the Women's Society of Christian Service of the Hankins Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Lucille of Hankins and Verna of Jeffersonville; three brothers, Lawrence of the State of Florida, Raymond and Norman of Callicoon, and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held in the Stewart Funeral Home, Callicoon, with the Rev. Newton B Ford of the Hankins Methodist Church officiating.
Burial was in the Fremont Center Cemetery."
