Mrs. Nels E. Abbey Is Taken by Death

Mrs. Nels E. (Clarice M.) Abbey, 66, a resident of Spokane 50 years, died unexpectedly yesterday at her home, W3301 Alice, apparently from a heart ailment. She had been hospitalized for more than a week, but returned home Monday, her family said.

Born in Park City, Utah, she was married here June 18, 1922. Her husband, now hospitalized, was for many years a partner in the Spic & Span Cleaners, Second and Post.

Mrs. Abbey was a member of Audubon Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and Emmanuel Presbyterian Church.

Also surviving are a son, Kenneth, Pullman; a daughter, Mrs. R.M. (Beverly) Black, Beaverton, Ore. and six grandchildren.

Funeral services 2 p.m. Monday, June 30, Chapel of the Chimes of the Thornhill-Geraghty Funeral Home N1322 Monroe, St., the Audubon Chapter O.E.S. participating at the chapel. Interment, Greenwood Memorial Park.
