Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Carney, 92 [s/b 71], who died at her Route 2 Waynesboro home yesterday, were held at 3:30 p.m. today from the Geneva Presbyterian church at Mathersville with interment in church cemetery. The Rev. A. J. Johnson officiated. Thompson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Carney had lived where she died for the past 50 years and was a member of the Baptist church. She was the widow of the late Rev. J. L. Carney.

She is survived by two sons, Ben, Cordell, Miss., and Austin, Waynesboro; four daughters, Mrs. Jennie Odom, Rt. 2 Waynesboro; Mrs. Ethel Gilbert, Ellisville, Mrs. Lonnie Covington, Rt. 2, Waynesboro, and Mrs. Venie Odom, Biloxi; 32 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren and 23 great great grandchildren.
