– Almeda June Flowers, 83, of Summer Shade, died Thursday, May 26, 2011, at NHC of Glasgow.
She was a Cumberland County native and the daughter fo the late Benton and Maudie Capps King. She was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by two sons, Dr. Robert (Peggy) Flowers of Burkesville and Danny (Jamie) Flowers of Summer Shade; two grandchildren, Dr. Kristy Flowers Poindexter (Stephen) of Burkesville, and Dr. Robert Flowers Jr. (Nancy) of Wise, Va.; and one great-grandchild, Macey Poindexter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Flowers, and one brother, Waymon King.
Funeral services will be Monday, May 30, at 10 a.m. at McMurtrey Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Perkins Cemetery.
