Obituary

Bert Beamer, 56, of near Hillsville, passed away in a Marion hospital on Saturday morning, February 18, after a long illness.
The deceased was a son of the late Philip Beamer and wife, Mrs. Alice Mitchell Beamer, and was a veteran of the Spanish-American War.
Surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Etta Combs and Lon Beamer, Fancy Gap Fred Beamer, Mount Airy, N. C. Mrs. Sarah Branscome, of Oregon, and Mrs. Callie Bringham, Roanoke.
Funeral services were conducted at the home of Lymar Stockner, a nephew of the deceased, Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, by Rev. C. A. Brabston, pastor of the Hillsville. Methodist Circuit.
Interment was in the Beamer Cemetery, near the old home of the deceased.
