Josephine M. Bluemke, 70, of rural Rossville died at 3:35 a.m. Dec. 2, 2003, at Home Hospital, Lafayette. She was a life resident of Clay Township.

Born May 6, 1933, in Tippecanoe County, she was the daughter of Woodrow and Nina Keller James. She married Robert L. Bluemke Sr. on April 22, 1950. He preceded her in death on April 8, 2001.

Mrs. Bluemke attended Rossville schools and earned her G.E.D. in 1968. She received an associate degree in micro electronics at Purdue University.

She was a supervisor of quality control at Frito Lay in Frankfort for 12 years. She later worked at CTS Micro Electronics in Lafayette for five years, at Lafayette Instrument, John Ewing Honda of Lafayette, and two years at Rockwood Electronics in Rossville.

She was a member of the Pyrmont Church of the Brethren and Frankfort Motorcycle Club.

Surviving are one daughter. Deb Butler of rural Rossville; three sons, Daniel L. Bluemke and Robert L. Bluemke, both of rural Rossville, and Michael D. Bluemke of Frankfort; one brother, Robert James of Delphi; three sisters, Ramona Lybrook of Logansport, and Mary Everett and Karen James, both of rural Delphi; 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Bodine Funeral Home, Rossville, with Rev. Tim Deardorff officiating. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
