George Alexander Robinson (my grandfather) was born in Ballykeel, District of Omgh, Tyrone, Ireland. Ireland Civil registration online databases show his birth as 1874 as does his headstone. However, his World War I card says it is 1873 and his birth certificate appears to read 1875.
He is the son of William Robinson and Eliza Margaret Alexander, both of Ballykeel, Ireland. (Their information is sketchy. If you have some, please contact me.) He came to America with his father and sister, Isabella Margaret, in either 1881 or 1882 (according to Census data).
George first married Effie DeLonia Carroll on 23 Dec 1900 in Texas. They have three children: Georgia Ruth, Gerald Marvin and Gwendolyn Margaret "Nell."
His second wife, Maye Lee Mershon, is my grandmother. They were married on 6 Dec 1914 and later divorced. Their children are linked on this page.
His third wife is Mary Eleanor Boise and they married on 8 Feb 1935 and are buried together.
