James, 78, was Friday at Bodine-
Brown Funeral Home in Rossville.
Pastor Guy Studebaker officiated.
Burial was in North Fork Old German
Baptist Cemetery.

He died Tuesday, Nev. 20, 1990,
in his home at Owasco on Rt. 1
Rossville.

Born Oct. 14, 1912, in Carroll
County, he had lived in the Owasco
area most of his life.

A mechanic for 20 years in
Lafayette, he worked for 17 years
at the automotive garage at Purdue
University before retiring in 1977.

A member of Pyrmont Church of
the Brethren and Jefferson
Township Conservation Club, his
hobby was fabricating wood burning
stoves.

On May 13, 1930, he married
Nina I. Keller, who survives with a
son, Robert of Rt. 1 Delphi; five
daughters, Ramona Lybrook of
Kokomo, Josephine Bluemke of Rt.
1, Rossville, Evelyn Patterson of
Rossville, Mary Everett of Delphi
and Karen James of Rt. 1, Delphi;
25 grandchildren and 64 great
grandchildren.

A brother preceded in death.
