DIED:
On the 29th July, 1874, at the residence of R.H. Gillespie, in McNairy county, after a protracted illness of several months, Edmond F. Duke, aged 48 years.

The deceased was a brother of our esteemed fellow townsman Jno. H. Duke, Esq., and was one of the first citizens of McNairy county. His death in the meridian of life, will be deplored by many friends. To his relatives here and elsewhere we extend our sympathies which come not from the mouth only, but from our hearts.
