Mrs. Celia Clara Chittum, 88, of 1 Kanawha Terrace, Apartment 6, St. Albans, died Feb. 9, 1988, in Thomas Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She attended the Baptist church.

Surviving: sons, Gary D. of St. Albans, Charles of Naples, Fla. , Monte of Hurricane; daughter, Gayla Cooper of Belleview, Fla.; sisters, Mrs. Lyndall Hughes and Mrs. Georgia Estep, both of St. Albans; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Snodgrass Funeral Home, South Charleston, with the Rev. Dennis Barnhart officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
