Gunshot Wound fatal to George T. Bray, of Gleanings Section
George Thomas Bay, age 84 years, retired farmer of near Gleanings, was fatally injured about 9 a.m. Monday at his home when a shotgun which he was handling discharged. The shooting is believed to have been an accident.
Bray's sister-in-law, Mrs. Julia Bray, who resided with him was outside the house when she heard him fall, but she did not hear the shot. She rushed back into the house and found him lying on the floor. Unable to move him by herself, Mrs. bray summoned help. She reportedly did not know he had been shot until neighbors lifted him off the floor. The shotgun was under the body.
