Annis was born 27 December, 1850 to John and Julianah Muma Wilson. She was the 5th of their nine children.
On 30 January, 1878, Annis married Irwin Van Keuren, son of Philo and Mary Jane Smith Van Keuren, in Allegan.
Annis and Irwin were the parents of 4 children: Anness, Bernice, Lynn and Franklin "Frank". Daughter Anness died at age 1 day. Their other 3 children all married and had families.
Annis and Irwin lived in Allegan until after the 1900 census, at that time they moved to Traverse City, Grand Traverse, Michigan.
In 1908, when Annis' brother Frank S. Wilson died, it was Annis who was the informant on his death record.
Annis died 9 April, 1912 in Traverse City. Her death record says she was buried on 12 April, 1912 in Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan, Michigan. Annis is buried on the right side of her daughter Bernice (memorial # 62559578), on Oakwood Drive, near the Chapel.
Husband Irwin later remarried to Jenny Cook, daughter of Albert Cook and Melvina Richardson.
