John E. Henry, 68, of Girard died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2002, at his residence. He was born Sept. 15, 1934, in Jacksonville, the son of Ralph Dean and Grace A. Lansinger Henry. He married Shirley Tucker in 1954 in Springfield. A son, Danny Henry, preceded her in death. Mr. Henry worked for Smitty's Seat Covers for many years. He also owned and operated Henry's Auto Upholstery, a Texaco service station and Henry's Auto Repair and Sales in Girard for several years. He was a member of the Girard Lions Club. Survivors: wife, Shirley; two sons, David (wife, Jody) Henry of Petersburg and Greg (wife, Diane) Henry of Vanceboro, N.C.; a daughter, Grace (husband, Russ) Price of Divernon; seven grandchildren; a sister, Yvonne Morrow of New City; a brother, Clark Henry of Jacksonville; and several niecs and nephews. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Girard, the Rev. Richard Whitworth officiating. Burial: Girard Cemetery
