The Baptismal Record for the Protestant part of the church in the village of Morsbronn les-bains indicated that Johann Ludwig Daab was born 19 May 1762 and baptized two days later. The sponsors are very difficult to read, so I will not make an attempt.
Johann Ludwig was the son of Johann Ludwig and Maria Salomee Daab.
Johann Ludwig took the position of the village shepherd in the neighboring village of Birlenbach. There he met a girl named Margaretha Haudenschild or Hautenschild [have seen both spellings], daughter of Johann George and Marguerette Madeline Frey Hauenschild.
They were married October 3, 1786 in Birlenbach. They had 8 children:

3.Johann Ludwig 1789
4.Eva Barbara "Barbe" 1792
5.Margaretha 1794
6.Maria Catharina 1799
