George Alex Haynes is the son of Samuel W Haynes (1814-1903) and Elizabeth Riddle (1819-1880/1890). Elizabeth is my Great-Grand Aunt.

He married Malinda Curbo Painter and they had the following children:
1) George Frank - was the first husband of my Grandmother Sarah Lucinda 'Sallie' (Mangum) Haynes/Holley.
2) Sarah Sulva - married Edward 'Edd' Runyon
3) John Henry - married Jennie Escue
4) Laura Francis - married Lorenzo Daw Hardy
5) James Harvey - married Helen (unknown last name)

I had searched long for my Grandmother's first husband, thinking it was George Alex until a very nice man named Al Haynes gave me the correct information and furnished me with pictures of their tombstones - for which I am very greatfull. Al Haynes is a descendant of this Haynes family.
