JOHN C. HENRY of Cherry Tree,
passed away at his home last evening
after a long illness. He was I
76 years old.
Born May 3, 1872 In Montgomery
Township, Indiana County, he was
the youngest son of Jeremiah and
Sarah Radcliffe Henry and had
spent his entire life In this area.
Mr, Henry was a well known
harness maker. Until a few years
ago. He operated a shop at his home.
He was married August 2, 1899 to
Florence J. Rager of Patchinville
and resided in Burnslde for the next
five years.
Surviving are his wife and the
following children: John W. Henry,
Clearfield; Mrs. Kenneth Orr, Indiana;
James J. Henry, Land O' Lake,
Wis.; Mrs. Martin J. Baker, Cherry
Tree Delmont Henry, Newark, Del.;
Almont Henry, Trenton, N. J.; Alvin
Henry, at home; Frank Henry, Land
O' Lake, Wis.; Sidney Henry, at
home; Murray Henry, Cherry Tree;
a brother, William Henry of Punxsutawney
and fifteen grandchildren.
Friends will be received at his
home near Cherry Tree, where services
will be held on Monday afternoon
at 2:00, Feb. 14th. Rev. E.
F. Pearce officiating. Interment will
be in the Thompson Cemetery
