Born July 17, 1836, in Reichenweiher, Alsace, Germany,
died in 1920. Married Catherina Elizabeth Loessberg
December 20, 1865, in Castroville, Texas. Application
based on service in Lieutenant James H. Brown's
Company from April 5, 1860, to June 6, 1860. Application
approved.
According to his statement in his file, Bippert also
served in Captain S.G. Newton's Company H, Third
Texas Infantry in the Confederate Army from September
22, 1862, to April 1865.
