Clark E. Black, son of the late David and Jane Campbell Black, was born May 28, 1868, at Marchand, and died at his home near Patton, at 7:30 p.m. July 8, aged 63 years, following an illness of some four years. Mr. Black had been a resident of Patton and vicinity for the past 35 years. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Susan Tucker Black and these children: Charles Black, Twin Rocks; David E. Black, at home and Edith, the wife of William Yahner of Patton. He also leaves 12 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Ella Tooke of Mahaffey. Funeral services were conducted in his late residence Saturday, July 11 and burial was made in Fairview Cemetery.
