Regiment Apr/1861 as Private.
To Lt. Col. by Sept/1862 & Col
on Oct/1864. Operated with Hoke
at Petersburg in 1864. Wounded in
shoulder on 6/18/64. Unit was sent
to Wilmington in late 64 to help
protect the port of Wilmington.
In Wilmington for the entire
Wilmington Campaign. At Benton-
ville he was in charge of Cling-
mans Brigade and wounded again.
Paroled at Salisbury on May 2,
1865.
